In August, the Venerable Master hosted
a conference on religion, ethics, science, education, and philosophy.

十二月，應邀至臺、港、新、馬弘法；並在臺創辦正法佛學院。
In December, upon invitation, the Venerable Master led a delegation
to Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong to propagate the Dharma.
At the same time, he founded
the Proper Dharma Buddhist Academy in Taiwan.

一月，應邀出席美國布希總統華府就職大典，
乃為國祈禱之東方唯一代表。
In January, the Venerable Master was one of President George Bush's
special guests at the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.
He was the only Asian representative at a National Prayer Meeting.

On September 2nd,
the Venerable Master hosted the fifth Threefold Ordination Ceremony.

十月至十一月，應邀赴臺主持「護國息災觀音大悲法會」。
From October to November, upon repeated invitations,
the Venerable Master hosted a Guanyin Great Compassion Dharma Assembly
for Protecting the Nation and Quelling Disasters in Taiwan.
