The Venerable Master founded the Gold Mountain Dhyana Monastery
in San Francisco.

the Venerable Master hosted a fourteen-week meditation retreat.

創辦《金剛菩提海》月刊。
The Venerable Master founded the Vajra Bodhi Sea,
a monthly journal of orthodox Buddhism.

開講華嚴系列，涵蓋《華嚴經疏序》、《華嚴經疏》及
《華嚴經》，前後共九年。
The Venerable Master began a nine-year lecture series that included the
Preface, Prologue, and the entire Flower Adornment Sutra.

九月，傳授西方首次的三壇大戒於金山禪寺。
In September, the Venerable Master hosted
the first Threefold Ordination Ceremony in the West at
the Gold Mountain Dhyana Monastery.
