八月，首次於萬佛聖城傳授第二屆三壇大戒。
In August, the Venerable Master hosted
the second Threefold Ordination Ceremony,
the first to be held at the City.

成立洛杉磯金輪聖寺。
The Venerable Master founded
the Gold Wheel Monastery in Los Angeles.

七月至九月，應東南亞各地佛教界邀請，
率團赴馬、新、泰、港各地弘法。
From July to September, upon invitation,
the Venerable Master led a delegation to propagate the Dharma in
Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong.

育良小學遷至萬佛聖城。
Instilling Goodness Elementary School moved to the City.
1979
 　 　
十月，傳授第三屆三壇大戒。
In October, the Venerable Master hosted
the third Threefold Ordination Ceremony at the City.
