師父於1995年離開我們之前說過，要我們將正法帶回中國。打從我在中國工作的這許多年來，這個念頭一直在我心裡徘徊不去。如今，因緣終於成熟了，自從中國加入世界貿易組織，漸漸對所有的宗教開放。佛教，向為大多數中國人的傳統信仰，無論有無正確地理解正法，人人莫不齊向寺廟尋求祝禱。因此你會見到人們排著長龍，鵠候良久，只求得在名山寶剎中獻香祈願。此情此景，在中國觸目可見！
此地的年輕人，比他們實際年齡成熟得多，因為他們進入社會甚早。在許多大公司，你眼見的一批批總裁、理董事、經理人，他們的年紀不過二十底、三十出頭。這些受過高等教育的年輕人，於心靈上頗覺迷惘、空虛與無聊。他們亟需精神食糧來填飽飢渴。正法恰是他們的食糧！單看北京一地的記錄，超過三十萬的人患有精神病，這個數字還在往上攀升！單單一個北京城，每月自殺人數超過一千人！現在，我才真正了解為何師父說我們得把正法帶回中國了！
就在2006年3月24日的這一天，我們終於實現了師父的願望。恆實、恆雲兩位法師以及一些在家居士，一同為跟北京某出版社簽訂合約一事作了見證。此後，師父的法寶叢書便可在中國大陸合法地流通了。
首批出版的三部經附有淺釋，即：《四十二章經》、《阿彌陀經》、《六祖法寶壇經》。
第一批書可望於9月出爐，以便第一支法總中國代表團的隊伍，得以作現場免費贈送。
對於法總／佛經譯經委員會而言，這是歷史性的一刻，亦是一番重大突破，讓師父的法寶能在大陸合法地流通。我們需要一切的幫助來促成此事並使之持久。本人謹代表中國所有即將受益的中國人，為這樁美事向你們鞠躬致敬！

Before the Venerable Master left us in 1995, he had told us to bring the True Dharma back to China. This thought dwelt in my mind for a long, long time since I have been working in China all these years. The conditions are finally ripe because China is opening up to all religions since it joined the World TtradeOrganization (WTO). Since most Chinese traditionally consider themselves Buddhists regardless of whether they correctly understand the True Dharma or not, they flock to all the temples and monasteries to pray. People wait in long lines to enter famous Buddhist temples just to offer a bundle of incense and prayers. This is seen all over China!
Young people are maturing earlier because they come out into the society much earlier. Many CEOs, directors, and managers of major companies are in their late 20s or early 30s. These well-educated young people are spiritually lost, empty, and bored.They need some spiritual food to satisfy their hunger. The True Dharma is the right food for them! In Beijing alone, more than 300,000 people suffer from mental problems and the number is growing! And just in Beijing alone, more than 1,000 people commit suicide every month! Now, I really understand why the Venerable Master said that we need to bring the True Dharma back to China!
Finally, we accomplished the Master’s wish on March 24, 2006.Dharma Masters Heng Sure and Heng Yun with a few laypeople witnessed the signing of a contract for the publication of the Venerable Master’s Dharma treasures to be legally circulated in China through a religious publisher in Beijing.
We will first publish three Sutras with the Master’s commentaries:
Sutra in Forty-two Sections, Amitabha Sutra, and the
Sixth Patriarch Dharma Jewel Platform Sutra.
The first publication hopefully will be out by September, in time for free distribution during DRBA’s first delegation tour to China.
This is a historical moment and a breakthrough for DRBA/BTTS to be able to circulate the Venerable Master’s Dharma treasures legally in China. We need all the help we can get to make this work successful and long lasting. I, on behalf of all the people in China who will be benefited, bow to you all for the good job!
