莊嚴寺法師三位比丘、九位比丘尼一行，在10月18日下午抵達萬佛城做三天訪問。12位法師在聖城期間除了參加早晚課外，並體驗日中一食，衣不離體。他們一行到無言堂瞻仰上人舍利塔；也參訪如來寺與喜捨院，了解出家眾的作息與工作；在男女學校與校長教職員會談；參觀未來妙覺聖寺的預定工地；並於最後一天到附近南傳的無畏寺參訪。三天緊湊的行程中，莊嚴寺的法師對於萬佛城聽法、法界佛教大學課程與法界佛教總會的刊物都以中英雙語進行，深感興趣一再殷切詢問，留下深刻的印象。

On the afternoon of October 18, 2003, three
Bhikshus and nine Bhikshunis from Chuang-yen Monastery in
New York arrived at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (CTTB)
for a three-day visit. The twelve Dharma Masters, in
addition to attending the morning and evening recitation
ceremonies, practiced eating one meal a day and wearing
their precept sashes. They paid respect to the Venerable
Master's sharira in No Words Hall, visited Tathagata
Monastery and Joyous Giving House to understand the schedule
and work of monks and nuns here, interacted with the
principals and teachers of the Boys and Girls’ Schools,
toured the future site of the International Institute of
Philosophy and Ethics, and visited Abhayagiri Monastery on
the last day. During their tightly scheduled visit, they
showed great interest in the fact that CTTB's Dharma
lectures, Dharma Realm Buddhist University's classes, and
Dharma Realm Buddhist Association's publications are all
bilingual. They made many inquiries, and left CTTB with deep
impressions of their experiences here.
