加州數學組每學年舉辦一次競試，學生可以參加自己就讀年級或高一級的比賽，在演算各類變化的題目時，藉此提昇同學對數學的興趣。
今年本校有八位同學報名參加八年級的數學競賽，其中有五名同學共得178分，在全加州134所學校中，本校榮登第十八名；而在附近九個郡內，本校則名列第二，成績斐然，為學校爭光。五位同學得分情形如下：八年級劉親智得38分（滿分40），是九個郡內的亞軍；八年級謝阜庭得37分，九個郡內名列第四；八年級黃西蒙得35分；八年級艾勃特．謝得35分；和八年級黃忠得33分。

Each school year, the California Math League sponsors an annual contest. A student may participate in the contest at their grade level or at a higher grade level. The goal is to encourage interest in mathematics through solving worthwhile problems.
This year eight boys participated in the 8th grade mathematics league contest. The following top five students gave the team a total score of 178 points. The Boy’s School finished 18th out of 134 schools in California, and 2nd in our area of nine counties. Their excellent performance won a reputation for the school. The top five students were: 1) Qin-zhi Lau (7th grade) 38 points (out of a possible 40) (ranked 2nd in our area). 2) Michael Hsieh (8th grade) 37 points (ranked 4th in our area), 3) Simon Huynh (8th grade) 35 points, 4) Albert Shay (8th grade) 35 points and 5) Hung Huynh (8th grade) 33 points.
