到金山寺，一個人不可以去的，一定要有兩三個人一起湊一個車；汽油錢我不出，你們誰有什麼事情要自己出汽油錢，因為你們太隨便太方便了。寄信幹什麼的，現在公家都不出這份錢了，你們都要自己負自己的責任。你們簡直拿公家的錢不當一回事，隨隨便便就給我浪費，隨隨便便就用公家的汽油，這是不可以的。
無論任何人，不是眞正為公家的事情，誰用汽油我也不出的。我現在就一毛錢我也不隨便浪費，我的一張擦面紙用了五、六天，擦手紙我都用幾天。你們這樣浪費，隨隨便便的，這叫侵損常住，和偷僧伽物是一樣的罪業。你們自己不知因果，不怕下地獄，浪費公款；這公款是養人修道的，不是養人在這地方講是講非的。 |

You may not go to Gold Mountain Monastery alone. Two or three people should go together in one car. And I will not pay for the gasoline. Since you are too careless and too casual, you have to pay for the gas when you go out to take care of your personal affairs. The temple will not pay for you to mail personal letters or do other private business. We ought to be responsible for ourselves. You simply take the temple's money for granted and carelessly waste gasoline. That is impermissible.
Regardless of who you are, I will not pay for the gas if it is not for temple affairs. I do not waste even a penny. In fact, I use the same sheet of tissue paper for five or six days. When you casually waste things, you are harming the temple. Your offense is equivalent to stealing from the Sangha. You waste public funds because you do not understand cause and effect and are not afraid of falling into the hells. The funds are to support people who cultivate the Way, not people who gossip. |
