萬佛聖城為懷少節（4月6日）徵稿（限中、小學生），請由下列題目任擇其一，五百字為限，歡迎詩篇、音樂、攝影、美術（繪畫、雕刻）。採用之稿件將編輯成冊，並分送投稿人及提供萬佛城月刊選擇刊出。
一、你對大同世界的看法，描述你心目中理想的社會及達成步驟。
二、人類如何達到世界大同？就家庭、教育、宗教的角度論述之。
三、人生的目的為何？（你認為有意義的人生目標。）

Students in elementary, middle, and high school are eligible to participate.
Choose one of the topics below and respond in an essay of 500 words or less. You may also respond in the form of poems, music, photography, or art (painting, sculpture, etc.). Be creative!
l. Read the following poem, based on an excerpt from the Book of Rites (an ancient Chinese classic)
Imagine an ideal world
Where everyone served society,
And society belonged to everyone;
The virtuous and able were chosen for office;
Fidelity and friendliness were valued by all;
People not only loved their own parents and children,
But loved the parents and children of others as well;
The elderly lived out their years in happiness;
Adults in their prime were productively employed;
Children were raised with love and reason;
Solitary elders and orphans, the handicapped and ailing were well cared for;
All men shared their social responsibilities;
All women had their respective roles;
Natural resources were used for the benefit of all, not for selfish ends;
People worked for the public good, not for private gain;
All crimes and intrigue disappeared;
Gates and doors were left unlocked;
No one ever thought of stealing;
That would be the age of the great commonwealth of peace and prosperity.
Give your reaction to the above description of an Utopia. Describe your own vision of a perfect society, and the steps that should be taken to achieve it.
