諸佛菩薩師父上人、各位法師、各位善知識，阿彌陀佛：
我的法名是果慧。今天晚上我要和大家分享我怎麼會來到萬佛聖城，和在聖城的學校學了些什麼？在1988年，我的父母親第一次來萬佛聖城拜萬佛寶懺時，沒帶我來，把我留在家裡。那時候我才十個月大。我媽媽說在萬佛聖城她很想念我，決定下次去聖城時一定要把我一起帶去。所以從1989年起，我每一年都和父母親來萬佛聖城一次。1993年我和父母到上人在萬佛城護法路3號的住所，請教上人搬來美國好不好？上人很慈悲地說：「好。」所以，我今天能在這兒上學讀書。
我剛在萬佛城育良女子小學畢業。在這幾年裡，我學習了敬老尊賢，怎樣孝順父母，如何對動物有慈悲心，對朋友友善；我學習了如何節省，不要隨便買東西，只買非常需要用到的或是很便宜的東西。
萬佛聖城的學校是很特別的；老師也非常特別。我們有法師是我們的老師；男女學生分開的。聖城的環境也是非常特別；有新鮮的空氣，有動物跑來跑去，就好像是野生動物園那樣。這些都使我讀書、學習得很好，也令我健康愉快。
1993年在上人住所，上人問我叫什麼名字，我說：「曉慧。」上人說：「為什麼叫曉慧，不是大慧？」在1997年拜萬佛寶懺的時候，我拜到一尊菩薩是「大慧菩薩」。現在，我要努力學習佛法和用功讀書，試著是否可以變成「大慧」。

All Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Venerable Master, Dharma Masters and Good Advisors: Amitabha. My Dharma name is Lau Guo Hui. Tonight I'm going to share with you how I came to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas and what I've learned in school.
In 1988, my parents came to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas to bow the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance for the first time, without me. I was ten months old then. My mom missed me, so she decided to bring me the following year, 1989.
From then on, I would come to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas with my parents every year. In 1993, my parents and I went to the Venerable Master's house on No 3 Dharma Protector Lane. My parents asked Shifu if we could come to stay permanently. Shifu was very compassionate and said yes. So, I am here today studying in the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas.
I have just graduated from Instilling Goodness Elementary School in the City. In school, I have learned how to be more respectful to my elders, filial to my parents, compassionate to animals, and friendly to my friends. I have learned to be more thrifty. I very seldom ask my parents to buy something unless it is for school or when they agree to my request and it is very cheap.
The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas has a very unique school. The teachers are different. The school has Dharma Masters as teachers. And boys and girls study separately. The environment in the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is also very unique. The air is fresher and the animals make it seem like a safari world. That's why I study well and am happy and healthy here.
When I was at the Venerable Master's house in 1993, he asked me my name. I said "Xiao Hui." He said "Why Xiao Hui (small wisdom), not Da Hui (great wisdom)?" In 1997, I found in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Repentance, a Bodhisattva named "Da Hui Bodhisattva." Now I want to study the Buddhadharma, delight in my studies, and become a Da Hui.
