無垢清淨光 慧日破諸闇
能伏災風火 普明照世間
––《觀世音菩薩普門品》
「當我第一次聽到四諦法『此是苦，逼迫性』時，我哭了。之後我明白了，各人有不同的業緣。」恆仲師很感慨地說著。
恆仲師出生於馬來西亞。襁褓時，母親因細故而離開，伯母願意照顧這僅八個月大的嬰兒。由於家裡拜觀音菩薩，祖母和伯母是虔誠的信徒，所以在十四歲時就參加了當地的佛教會。次年，佛教會鼓勵她在學校成立佛學社，當時有位學長是宣公上人的皈依弟子，由於學長的引進，慢慢拾回了對自己的信心，從此走出方格的小世界，體驗到佛法可以了一切的苦。又於十六歲時，發心吃長齋。
十七歲輟學，從事餐飲業。為了工作的需要，她不怕學歷低，很賣力地學習英文會話，及種種的工作技能，以求自立更生。十八歲時發願出家修道。十九歲，隻身來到新加坡工作。在她工作期間，雖然年紀很輕，卻能一躍而到經理的位置，但她依然克勤克儉，希望能多攢點錢以補
貼家計。
一九八九年，是她人生另一階段的開始。當年九月份應聘到臺灣來工作，後來決定留在正法佛學院讀書。九○年九月到萬佛聖城，九一
年元旦即正式披剃出家。九二年九月受三壇大戒。
恆仲師平時隨眾隨緣而行，一直都在錄音室工作，隨力隨分。她希望能把上人的法音流通到整個世界，讓一切的眾生都能聆聽到上人的法語。長久以來，她都定期捐血。每逢回聖城，她也都會抽空到福居樓探視一些老人，綿綿關懷，聽她們傾訴。她常說：「修道要快快樂樂的」。

Undefiled pure light,
The sun of wisdom that breaks through the darkness
Is able to quell calamities of wind and fire
As it shines on all worlds.
Chapter on “The Universal Door of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva"
“The first time I heard the first of the Four
Truths: ‘This is suffering; its nature is to oppress,’ I cried. Later,
I came to understand that each person has his or her own karmic
conditions,” said Bhikshuni Heng Jung.
Bhikshuni Heng Jung was born in Malaysia. Her
mother left after a quarrel when she was only eight months old, and she
was raised by a paternal aunt. Because her grandmother and her aunt
were both devoted Buddhists who worshipped Guanyin Bodhisattva at home,
she joined a local Buddhist society at the age of fourteen. The
following year, at the encouragement of that society, she formed a
Buddhist club at her school. Under the guidance of her classmate, who
was a disciple of the Venerable Master, she gradually regained her
self-confidence. She walked out of her small world and discovered that
the Buddhadharma was a solution to all suffering. At sixteen, she
became a vegetarian.
She left school at seventeen and began working in
the restaurant business. Despite her incomplete education, she
diligently studied conversational English and various vocational skills
so that she could find jobs to support herself. At eighteen, she made a
vow to leave the home-life and cultivate. When she turned nineteen, she
went to work in Singapore. Despite her youth, she was promoted to the
manager’s position. She continued to work hard without slacking off,
hoping to earn a little more money to support her family.
The year 1989 marked the beginning of a new phase
of life for her. In September of that year, she transferred to Taiwan
to work, and later she decided to remain in Taiwan and study at the
Proper Dharma Buddhist Academy. She came to the Sagely City of Ten
Thousand Buddhas in September 1990 and formally left the home-life on
January 1, 1991. In September 1992, she was ordained in the Threefold
Precepts.
Bhikshuni Heng Jung generally cultivates together
with the assembly and goes along with conditions. She has worked in the
Audio Department for several years. Her wish is allow beings throughout
the world to hear the Venerable Master’s Dharma. She donates blood on a
regular basis. Whenever she returns to the Sagely City, she visits the
elderly folks in the Tower of Blessings in order to see how they are
and listen to their words. “Cultivation is a cheerful affair,” she
often says.
