All Buddhist holidays are recorded on the lunar calendar, a fact which causes considerable difficulty to many Westerners trying to determine when to hold celebrations. The holidays listed below have been transposed from the lunar to the solar calendar. It should be noted that the the dates listed are good only for the current year, since the lunar new year falls on a different day on the solar calendar each year.
