應當避惡修眾善，舉止守禮慎狂傲；
若能常住善心緒，來日終必成聖道。
為令好種茁壯生，慎選良籽好下種；
勸君別將己靈屈，當知成佛必有期。
滅除貪瞋及癡愚，應修戒慧與禪定；
趁今安樂早修行，莫待時過方嗟吁。
切記勿得輕此言，行事不可隨心欲；
修善良機不把持，淨土求生空錯失。
修道感應莫生疑，出聲常誦如來名；
淨域蓮華即時開，必可躍離生死輪。
終日不時逢境界，行前三思並慎言；
宿世債務汝須還，為減業贅應修道。
摒棄放下諸愛執，紅塵欲中修無著；
不戀歡娛及戲樂，菩薩道行作正習。
為免業障積如山，應當精勤持戒律；
不求名食財色眠，熊熊火宅始可離。
一切職責須盡力，精進修行不希覓；
益人之事甚可讚，如是大士階有期。
權巧方便善調伏，只為督引群生修；
立誓願為有情導，殊勝善緣廣結繫。
今人不得智慧光，認善是惡黑作白；
當盡已力度眾生，時刻不離為善導。
亦如世尊之所教，開悟非由金錢贖；
倘若不肯將過改，到頭仍是凡夫身。
誡勉之語已復說，快修莫教師父候；
怠惰終必將自累，不覺旋至地獄門。
最後一言聽我說，道業有成才是真；
每逢緣境不隨轉，否則便遭業火燒。
得生淨土不枉活，繼續修行滅諸苦；
但能用功勤努力，便得冀成聖賢人。

Do avoid evil and cultivate all good;
Always be polite, never be rude.
If you can also constantly be in a good mood,
One day youl attain sainthood.
In order that good seeds grow,
Be careful of the quality of seeds you sow.
Never look upon yourself too low;
You can be a Buddha, you know.
To extinguish greed, hatred, and stupidity,
You must cultivate precepts, wisdom, and samadhi.
Start cultivating now happily,
Rather than later be sorry.
Do not look lightly upon these;
Nor should you do as you please.
The opportunity to do good if you do not seize,
Rebirth in the Pure Land you may miss.
The efficacy of your cultivation you must never doubt.
By constantly reciting the Buddha's name out loud,
Your lotus flower in the Pure Land can then sprout.
Finally, from the cycle of birth and death, you can then come out.
Constant tests you may face every day;
Think twice before acting and guard what you say.
Past accumulated debts you must pay;
To lessen the effect, you must cultivate the Way.
You must put down all attachment;
From worldly desires, do practice detachment.
Do not be greedy for pleasure and enjoyment;
Practicing the Bodhisattva path should be your commitment.
In order that offenses do not pile up in a heap,
The precepts you must strictly keep.
Never crave fame, food, riches, sex, and sleep;
From the burning world you can then leap.
Do your best in all your undertaking;
Cultivate vigorously without seeking.
Benefitting others deserves praising;
You can then be a Bodhisattva in the making.
Employ expedient means to persuade
Living beings in order that they cultivate.
To them you must then be a good aid;
Wholesome affinities you can then create.
People nowadays do not possess much wisdom light
Since they take good as bad and black as white.
Strive to cross them over with all your might;
Be a good guide, don let them out of your sight.
Buddha has taught
That enlightenment cannot be bought.
If you do not change your fault
You'll end up like the common sort.
This exhortation having been said,
Quickly cultivate, never let Shr Fu wait!
If you delay, you might be late,
Or end up arriving at hell gate.
One last thing I must mention:
What really counts is success in your cultivation.
Encountering states you should not be turned,
Else you end up being burned.
Reborn in the Pure Land, one has not lived in vain,
As one can then cultivate to end all pain.
Should you work hard, you can gain
The rewards of becoming a Saint.
