Heng Sure told me that you haven't been well so I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking of you and praying for you to feel better. You must have many people praying that you will be able to continue your important work for years to come.
You have been such an influence for good with the generation of young men and women who were floundering during the Vietnam war. You gave them direction and discipline and purpose for their lives in a way we parents could not. The results of your efforts and their's will continue to multiply throughout the world, bringing Buddhism to more and more people. By changing these men, you have changed the world!
I think the children in the primary school at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas will have the most far-reaching influence for good, so Mr. Metcalf and I would like to contribute to the school in a small way by continuing the subscriptions to National Geographic World magazine for both the girls' and boys' schools.
Mr. Metcalf joins me in wishing you well.
Sincerely,
Deborah Metcalf
