六月十日萬佛聖城育良小學、培德中學假道源堂舉行應屆畢業典禮。本屆高中畢業生男女各一位，均已申請到優秀大學；初中畢業生則有十五位男生和六位女生，並且大部分都表示將在本校高中部繼續進修。
典禮於畢業生循序至禮堂前一問訊後揭開了序幕。應邀致辭的師長一再感謝所有教職員以智慧和耐心輔導學生，譬如燃燒自己、照耀別人的蠟燭；對於家長的熱心支持與協助，也致以最大的謝忱；並盼望大家能珍惜這難得的因緣，曾經一起學習、一起成長。
在家長、來賓致辭後，是頒獎。受獎者除了優秀的學生之外，還有對學校開發、成長，有特殊貢獻的人士。每天為學生準備燃火柴薪，做傾倒垃圾等雜務的老鮑伯，當他幌著滿頭銀髮上臺領獎時，全校學生都起立歡呼，甚是感人。最後是兩位應屆高中畢業生的致辭。塊頭高壯的史蒂文．夏塔自九歲起即在本校就讀，他以幽默的口吻，細數他自陌生而熟悉，自幼弱而茁壯的心路歷程，並對師長一一致謝。嫻雅可愛的李尚雅則在本校度過了她四年的高中生涯，也度過了她成長中最困難的叛逆時期。她以感性的語辭，提到自己如何年年放假時揹著行李走，發誓不再回來，卻又年年如期揹行李回來就讀的矛盾心情；如何從厭惡嚴格的管教，到今天的依依不捨離去，引來在場家長及師生會心的笑聲。典禮就在這溫馨的畫面中結束。

On June 10th, the Commencement Ceremony of Instilling Goodness Elementary and Developing Virtue High Schools of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas was held at Daoyuan (Source of the Way) Hall. This year there are two high school graduates, one boy and one girl. Both have been accepted to good universities. The junior high school graduates, fifteen boys and six girls, mostly said they would continue to study at this school.
The Commencement began with all graduates filing into the hall and making a half bow. The teachers made speeches thanking all the faculty members who have taught the students with wisdom and patience, comparing them to candles burning themselves in order to illuminate others. They also expressed their great appreciation for the parents' enthusiastic support and assistance. In addition, they hoped that everyone would cherish this rare opportunity of learning together and growing together.
After the speeches of the parents and guests, there was a ceremony for presenting awards to outstanding students and to those who have made special contributions to the school's development and growth. When silver-haired Old Bob, who prepares the firewood for students to use every day, dumps the garbage and does other chores, went on stage to receive his award, all the students stood up and cheered, and everyone was touched.
Finally, the two high school graduates spoke. Stephen Shoptaugh, a tall and strong young man, has been studying at the school since he was nine. In a humorous vein, he described how he went from being unfamiliar to familiar, from being young and fragile to being grown-up and strong. Finally he thanked all his teachers. Elegant and lovely Sonya Lee has spent four years at this high school, making it through what was for her the most difficult rebellious period of growing up. Sentimentally, she described her yearly dilemma in which she would pack her bags and leave for the holidays, vowing not to come back, and yet always returning with her bags to start school on time. She also related how she used to detest the strict teaching and supervision, yet now she cannot bear to leave the school, evoking the heartfelt laughter of the parents, teachers and students present. The ceremony ended in this amiable atmosphere.
