精進佛七
去年年底，我第一次參加萬佛聖城舉辦的佛七，那是一年中很特殊的時候，有很多人就因為要參加這個法會，所以從很遠的地方來。
我本來是準備到洛杉磯去的，可是最後決定參加這個很殊勝的法會。當時一共有五個女校學生參加，開始時我們都很興奮，我告訴你，你就會知道為什麼了。佛七的規矩是這樣的：法會期間禁語，過午不食，還有不睡高廣大床，其他還有很多我們須要遵守的規矩。
在法會期間我們都很開心，有時候我們一天拜兩千多次佛，這是一個很特別的經驗。佛七結束時，我真希望它沒有完，因為它讓我很忙，而且我們在念佛號時都非常快樂。我真的很高興，我留下來參加了這個法會。

不同的學校
我搬來這裡以前，住在克勞芙達(Cloverdale)。我在那兒上克勞芙達華盛頓學校。現在我住在達摩鎮 (Talmage) 就來育良女校上課。
這兩所學校有很多地方不同。舉例來說，克勞芙達華盛頓學校就大多了，一共有五百五十多個學生。而且是一所公立學校，在那裡成就智慧的機會沒有這裡多。育良的教育幫助我了解我的家庭，和對家人不可以沒有禮貌。總之，在這兒我交了很多新朋友，有幾個成了好朋友，而在我搬來之前，根本還不認識她們呢。

Recitation Session
At the end of last year, I attended the seven-day recitation session at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. It was the first recitation I took part in at the City. A lot of people came from faraway places, just because they wanted to be here. It was a very special time of the year.
At first, I was going to go to Los Angeles. But at the end, I decided to attend this very special session. There were five girl students who attended. We were all very excited at first; you will know why when I tell you about it. The rules are that you cannot talk during the whole session, eat after midday, or sleep on a high and luxurious bed. There were a lot of other rules we had to follow.
We were all happy during the session, and sometimes we bowed more than 2000 bows in one day. It was a great experience. When the session was over, I wish it had not stopped, because it kept us busy and we were very happy when we were reciting. I was really glad that I stayed here for the session.

Different Schools
Before I moved here, I lived in Cloverdale. I used to go to a school in Cloverdale which is called the Cloverdale Washington School. Now I live here in Talmage and I go to the Instilling Goodness Girls' School (IGGS) here.
There are a lot of things different about these two schools. For one, the Cloverdale Washington School is much bigger and it has more than 550 children in it. Also, it is a public school and you don't have as much chance to be really smart as you do here. The teachings in this school, IGGS, have helped me to understand and not be impolite to my family. Anyway, I've met a lot of new people and I've become closer to some whom I didn't even know when I came here.
