去年有一對陳智光夫婦，到萬佛聖城參加水陸空法會，並且也受了三皈五戒，回加拿大之後，有很多感應。陳太太平時很精進念《阿彌陀經》，後來不知為何鬆懈了。有一天晚上，就夢見觀世音菩薩對她說：「你最近比較少念阿彌陀佛，應該要多念阿彌陀佛。」
一星期之後，又夢到觀世音菩薩問她：「你知道在萬佛聖城平時有很多佛菩薩嗎？」她說：「我不知道。」菩薩問她：「你想看嗎？」她說：「我當然想了！」於是觀世音菩薩給她一副眼鏡，她戴上之後，看見滿天虛空都是佛菩薩，中間站著很大的毗盧遮那佛和釋迦牟尼佛。觀世音菩薩對她說：「平時這個道場有很多佛菩薩，尤其是大法會的時候，整個虛空佈滿了佛菩薩。」
今年華嚴寺慶祝觀音誕法會時，有居士看見西方三聖，也有天兵、天將，毗盧遮那佛更是高大。所以十方諸佛的護念是真實不虛的，希望我們大家互相共勉之。
陸大任：觀世音菩薩現各種身相來救度眾生，這可以說是傳佛法的另一個方式。而師父宣公上人為了在西方弘揚佛法，二十多年來講了很多經典，無非希望我們能夠早日親近佛法，明白我們的自性。上人曾說：翻譯經典是一件神聖的工作。在舊金山南邊，有一個國際譯經學院，現在有一些人在這裡從事翻譯經典的工作。希望大家也都能來參與，這就等於我們用不同的方式間接地幫助上人弘揚佛法。在今天這殊勝的法會上，希望我們都能盡上自己的一分力，這也可以說是我們以另一個方式，學習了觀世音菩薩給我們的教導。 |

Last year, a couple, Mr. & Mrs. Chen Jr-gwang, came to the Sagely City of Ten Thousand Buddhas to attend the Water-Land-Air Dharma Assembly and took refuge with Triple Jewel and Five Precepts. After they returned to Canada, there were many auspicious responses. Mrs. Chen who usually recited the Amitabha Sutra diligently, somehow became lax later on. One night, she dreamt of Gwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva telling her, "You have been reciting Amitabha less recently. You should recite more."
A week later, Gwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva again appeared in her dream, asking, "Do you know there are usually many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas at the Sagely City of Ten Thousand Buddhas?" She said, "I didn't know." The Bodhisattva asked her, "Do you want to see them?" "Absolutely!" she replied. Thereupon, Gwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva gave her a pair of glasses. After putting them on, she saw that there were Buddhas and Bodhisattvas all everywhere in the air. In the middle were Vairochana Buddha and Shakyamuni Buddha who stood great and tall. Gwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva said, "Usually there are many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in this Way-Place. But especially when the Dharma Assemblies for great events are held, the whole space is full of them.
This year, at Calgary's Flower Adornment Monastery, during the celebration for Gwan Yin Bodhisattva's Birthday, someone saw the Three Sages of The West, accompanied by soldiers and officials from the Heavens. Vairochana Buddha stood particularly tall and large. The protection and mindfulness of all Buddhas in the Ten Directions is real. I hope that we will all mutually encourage each other on to greater efforts.
James Lu: Gwan Yin Bodhisattva manifests in different forms to rescue living beings, which is another way to propagate the Buddha-Dharma. While the Ven. Abbot Hsuan Hua expounded many Sutras in the past twenty years in order to propagate Buddhism in the West, he only wishes that we could draw near to the Dharma soon, to understand our inherent-nature. The Ven. Abbot once said, "The translation of the Sutras is a holy work." South of San Francisco, at the International Translation Institute, there are now a group of people engaged in this work. I wish that all of us will be able to join in this work. In this way we will indirectly help the Ven. Abbot to spread the Dharma. In this supreme Dharma Assembly, I wish everyone will contribute his ability as a share. You may say this is another way we have received the instructions of Gwan Yin Bodhisattva. |
