【本刊訊】這次浴佛節大典中，萬佛合唱團演唱了三支佛曲:三寶歌、觀音讚、盡虛空（法界佛教大學校歌）。歌聲悠揚和諧，深獲在場信眾的好評。
萬佛合唱團是在一九九二年底發起，由四十餘位育良小學與培德中學的學生組成。起因是宣公上人有鑑於天主教、基督教都有聖歌、唱詩班；佛教也該有佛曲合唱團，以莊嚴優美的聲音，收淨化人心之效。萬佛合唱團計劃未來要將佛曲灌錄成雷射唱碟、錄音帶。
在法界佛教大學學生吳霓裳熱心推動下，合唱團正式成立，並邀請男校的音樂老師陳威宏負責指導。陳威宏老師來自臺灣，原為臺北市立交響樂團的團員，曾赴法國深造，音樂素養十分深厚。在陳老師的指導之下，合唱團的水準進步神速，並由宣化上人取名為「萬佛合唱團」。
吳霓裳表示，萬佛合唱團要唱出高水準的佛曲，更希望將宣公上人所寫的偈頌都編曲唱出。因此，歡迎對佛教音樂有興趣，有專長的人士，都來共襄盛舉。報名請洽美國加州萬佛聖城：

(Announcement) During the Buddha's Birthday Celebration this year, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Choir performed three Buddhist songs: the Triple Jewel Song, the Gwan Yin Praise, and Jin Syu-kung (the Dharma Realm Buddhist University's School Song). Their resonant and harmonious voices won the acclaim of the audience.
The Ten Thousand Buddhas Choir was formed at the end of last year of over forty students of Instilling Goodness Elementary and Developing Virtue Secondary Schools. Ven. Master Hsuan Hua observed that the Catholics and Protestants have their own hymns and choirs, and Buddhists should also have Buddhist songs and choirs to transform people's minds through music. The Ten Thousand Buddhas Choir plans to record Buddhist songs on CDs and tape.
Under the enthusiastic efforts of Dharma Realm Buddhist University student Wu Ni-shang, the choir was officially established and Chen Wei-hung, the music teacher of the boys' school, was invited to be the Choir Director. Chen Wei-hung used to be a member of the Taipei Orchestra in Taiwan. He pursued advanced studies in France, and is thoroughly grounded in his musical practice. Under Director Chen's guidance, the choir's performance rapidly improved, and Ven. Master Hua named it the Ten Thousand Buddhas Choir.
Wu Ni-shang indicated that the Ten Thousand Buddhas Choir aims to produce high-quality performances of Buddhist songs, and hoped that all the verses composed by the Ven.
