A translator will free himself from the motives of personal fame and reputation. II. A translator will cultivate an attitude free from arrogance and conceit. III. A translator will refrain from advertising himself and denigrating others. IV. A translator will not establish himself as the standard of correctness and suppress the work of others with his faultfinding. V.
A translator will take the Buddha-mind as his own mind. VII. A translator will request Elder Virtuous Ones from the ten directions to certify his translations. VIII. A translator will endeavor to propagate the teaching by printing Sutras when his translation is certified to be correct. |
