News From The Dharma Realm

      Beginning in fall, 1980, Dharma Realm Buddhist University changed over to the quarter system--with a difference. The summer will offer a full program of study with intensive Sutra study workshops and specialized "mini-courses" by visiting Dharma Masters and scholars, while the winter will be left open for long practice sessions and project work. Spring and Fall Quarters fill out the year. The new calendar permits the University to accord with the seasons. It is expected, however, that the Chancellor's lecture series on the Shurangama Mantra will continue throughout the year. The new system, therefore, implements the University's commitment to a balanced program of study and practice.
