萬佛雲集妙覺山 千僧依止眾聖林
萬佛聖城是美國北加州第一座佛教大叢林,位於舊金山以北一百一十五哩的妙覺山下,佔地四百八十八英畝,已開闢使用地約八十英畝。萬佛聖城內有萬佛寶殿,內供千手千眼觀音菩薩立像,大殿四壁供奉萬尊佛像。平時四眾共聚於此做早晚課誦,晚課後聆聽上人開演大乘經典之法音。
城內又設有各個不同之建築與學校,計有育良小學、培德中學、法界佛教大學、僧伽居士訓練班、如來寺、大悲院、喜捨院、妙語堂、戒壇、圖書館、福居樓、君康素食館等,共有七十餘座大型建築物。城內環境清幽寧靜,空氣清新,提供理想之讀書、修行環境。
本片長度雖然只有二十五分鐘,但可說是聖城住眾一天的生活縮影。對已造訪過聖城的人而言,可藉此回憶城內莊嚴清淨的氣氛;尚未到訪過的人,亦可先睹為快,種下日後大眾同薰修的菩提種子。

The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (CTTB) is the first large Buddhism monastery in north California, US. It locates under the wonderful enlightenment mountain, which is 115 miles north of San Francisco. The land is 488 acre, of which about 80 acre is developed. The Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall in CTTB has a thousand-hand & thousand-eye Guan Yin Bodhisattva image, and ten thousand Buddha images on the four walls. The four assemblies conduct morning and evening recitation here, and listen to Master Hua's explanation on Mahayana Sutras after evening recitation.
There are also various buildings and schools in the CTTB, including Instilling Goodness Elementary School, Developing Virtue Secondary School, Dharma Realm Buddhist University, Sangha and Laity Training Program, Tathagata Monastery, Great Compassion House, Joyous Giving House, Wonderful Words Hall, Ordination Hall, library, Tower of Blessings, Jun-Kang ("To Your Health") vegetarian restaurant, etc, totally more than seventy buildings. The environment in CTTB is quiet and peaceful; the air is pure and refreshing. It is an ideal environment for study and cultivation.
This film is only 25 minute but could be considered an epitome of CTTB residents' one day. Those who have visited CTTB before will remember the pure and magnificent atmosphere of CTTB upon watching the film; those who haven't visited CTTB yet can take a look first and plant the Bodhi seed for cultivating with great assembly in the future.
