Written tearfully on the completion of stillness of
a lofty Sanghan of this age, the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua
Proclaiming the Dharma's principles,
Spreading the Dharma rain,
Bleeding and exhausting himself,
he cultivates the sagely ground,
Planting Bodhi seeds at the foot of the mountain of Ten Thousand Buddhas.
Teaching multitudes of ignorant ones,
Saving multitudes of lives,
His monumental merit and vast deeds cause the grass and trees to thrive;
And he attains eternal life in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
