刚才所述的公案，诸位不相信犹可，但接下来所讨论的问题，是绝不可以不相信的。

As to the incident I just related, if you choose not to believe it, that's okay, but what I am about to tell you now, you absolutely must believe.

人为什么学佛？其最初的动机不外乎要“离苦得乐，了生脱死”。可是有些人很不幸地，他志欲出迷，反而入迷。

Why do people study the Buddhadharma? Their initial motivation is none other than to leave suffering and attain bliss, and to end birth and death. How unfortunate that though they may want to get out of confusion, some people get immersed right in confusion!

在佛教界里，本想脱轮回，但一不小心，很容易就掉入迷魂阵。若不善用择法眼，就会被邪知邪见所蛊惑，而做出不可告人的事情。

Becoming Buddhists, their original intent is to get out of the cycle of birth and death, but if they are not careful, they can easily fall into a trap. If one doesn't use the Dharma-selecting Eye with care, one will be deluded by deviant knowledge and views, and end up doing things which are too horrible to mention.

譬如，本来想离苦得乐，可是却一失足而钻到地狱门头里去。还有更坏的事情，就是密宗里教人的双修法，说念什么密咒，男女互修“欢喜禅”，没有比这个更上的啦！不但能解决欲念，又能即身成佛。成佛那有那么容易！既不断淫，又可成佛，那是绝不可能的事，天下无此道理。

For example, one starts out wanting to leave suffering and attain bliss, but loses one's footing on the way and ends up boring right into the hells. There's something even worse－the dharma of "paired cultivation" taught in the Secret School, in which they recite certain mantras and men and women cultivate the "Dhyana of Delight" together. They say, "Nothing can beat this! Not only can we relieve our desire, we can also become Buddhas in this very life!" How could attaining Buddhahood be that easy? They don't cut off desire, and yet they want to become Buddhas－that's absolutely impossible. There's no such thing in the world.

 今人多数贪侥幸、贪快捷方式，一听到什么玄妙法，就被迷惑而陷入魔网，到死时，还是密！密！密！密到地狱里去了！

Most modern people are greedy for lucky breaks and short cuts, so whenever they hear about some occult dharma, they are deluded and trapped in the net of demons, and right up to their death, they are still practicing the Secret School－secret, secret, secret, all the way to the hells!
