In the three years since I have left home, I did not have much chance to talk with the Venerable Master. However, every time I saw the Venerable Master, I felt he is very awesome.
Every time I heard the way he talked, I felt he is very kind and compassionate and affable. Every time I hear the Venerable Master's Dharma talks, I feel happy, because they are very useful. They show me how I should act; they also help me solve problems that I do not understand.
For example, once I heard the Venerable Master tell us to be of the same substance with others; we should not just do whatever we want. We should listen to people when they try to teach us, for if we do not, our retribution will be inconceivable.
After I heard that, I reflected that in my daily life I never listened to the advice of my teachers and classmates. I decided to change and listen to others' instructions. I should not be so arrogant and follow my own wishes. Otherwise I will have to suffer the retribution.
