Dharma Masters Mingyang, Zhenchan and Miaoshan led the unprecedented delegation of monks from China, who performed the week-long intensive and elaborate ceremony which requires an Inner Platform and six Outer Platforms all staffed with monks and nuns who simultaneously perform rituals, ceremonies, and repentances and recite Sutra texts and the Buddha’s name daily. At night the compassionate ceremony called
“Flaming Mouths” was performed to liberate beings from suffering. All merit is transferred to rescue beings who died untimely deaths in the water, on land, or in the air.
